I have no more interest in religious authoritarianism than I do with "progressive" authoritarianism. Fundamentally, its the same problem from a different direction. If your faith (religious, political, vim/emacs, whatever) requires me to do something, things aren't off to a great start. Authoritarianism leads to tyranny, and it doesn't particularly matter who's boot is on your neck in the end. |
