Strong agree on the key to success being a company that will invest in training juniors. I think a lot of the noise around bootcamps misses this key fact - it's not really the education which makes people employable, it's the real-world work experience. I think that just having a directory of companies that are willing to hire people with minimal experience at slightly-better-than minimum wage is a much better approach to the problem then trying to delude people that anyone can make six figures after a two month boot camp. Some can, sure, but it's a much less reliable method than working in the industry for a few years. |
