I think what you are hitting up against here is that the "discipline" you are referring to refers to structure and accountability for their choices. The "discipline" referred to by the article more often boils down to punishment for misdeeds. One form builds up a person into a better version of themselves. The other is intended to break the spirit of the person and make them submissive. |
