This doesn't seem to support Wayland? Trying to create a snippet corrupts my whole screen. If I can get it to work, it seems quite useful.

Hi, no we do not support Wayland. You can, however, try pasting images directly into our notes app snip.mathpix.com by copying the image to your clipboard and then pasting directly into the document.
