IMO it's an inevitable result of using mechanical switches. I love Logitech mice but I'll usually get n-1 versions that go for cheaper, so replacing every 1-2 years doesn't sting as much. FWIW Razer has a new mouse that uses optical switches (Razer Viper). It'll be interesting to see if how their switches hold up a year or two from now. I've heard similar complaints about mouse switch failures with Razer mice as well, so it's great to see them attempt to address the problem. |
