This gets at the heart of this. This isn't t part of some consistent political philosophy or legal framework. This is policy based on angry people wanting to get revenge on a specific topic. Unfortunately I think the tide is moving in the direction of this being an acceptable way to govern and while people may get individual things they want out of it I think the end result is a net loss for everyone. |
