The Society of Professional Journalists website stores passwords in plain text

Not exactly breaking news, but I find it disappointing that a professional organization with contact details for individuals who might be at risk if their information is leaked to be practicing such bad security.

Anything we as members of the public can do to safeguard information on a site like this?
