I find it funny when satire from the past becomes the truth of the present. It's not hard to find examples such as the dystopian satire of "Network" (1976) becoming depressingly accurate. In this case, Mitchell & Webb performed a sketch on the power of having just shy of two drinks. The Inebriati is "a group bound by the creed that humanity is better and more noble after very nearly two drinks than at any other time." Video here: https://streamable.com/wtsn |
