I'd like to say that Scott Gonzalez and I have been working to unify the API and make it more consistent. When the 1.9 release is out, we're hoping to have less bugs and more consistent code. I believe the effects plugins are also going to be rewritten (draggable, droppable, etc) which should improve consistency and behavior of all the plugins. |
