I've had a teammate like this. Very smart, very young, had the strong opinions of a senior with the actual experience, narrow-mindedness, and general attitude of an unprofessional junior. He got moved out of one team, then was just as bad on the next one, and eventually left. By the end I stopped trying to debate with him and his toxic attitudes toward other people's code because I decided someone like that isn't worth the energy. Hopefully he'll find a better fit at his new company.
