Where are you located? I just finished a job search with about the same experience as you in SF and 50 applications submitted makes me think that you might not be approaching this the best way possible, assuming you are in a tech location. It seems like you went for quantity instead of quality. The opposite seemed to work well for me (personally, not trying to say its the only way).
