Your perspective might seem overly cynical to some.

As a counterpoint: it's funny/playful, it speaks to their niche, and it speaks to the utility/functionality of their product.

When dealing with people's money, funny/playful isn't something a company should be.
You are on a website called "Hacker News" hosted by a venture capital company named after an obscure mathematical function. Said venture capital company invested in companies worth a total of $155 billion[1].

The markets love funny and playful.
