Why do they need to kill the entire Internet? Why not have a provision to keep certain services online? Or only shut it off in certain areas? Shutting down the Internet for the entire U.S. seems like it could only be used for bad. |

A way to completely shut down the economy and to deny the enemy access to a critical resource in case of an invasion (far fetched).
