As I understand it, the CIP is opt-in, so it is truly voluntary. EDIT: Well, it's supposed to be opt-in, but apparently Intel has been sneaking it on user computers without their approval, which suggests that the checkbox used to install it from the driver assistant might be checked by default... so not opt-in. |
