There has been plenty of cynical reporting and editorializing that has made this very argument, that in fact Boeing and the industry more widely has been hiding behind the safety streak up until the moment of the first MAX crash. The fact that you find my post novel and shocking just shows you're not reading very much about aviation in the past few months. |
