Standups don't prevent that. You can have people saying things and still not revealing they need help. A weekly meeting could still caught the lack of progress in span of three months. Plus, if he really "had done nothing 3 months later" then it is not about being ashamed to ask for help. Being ashamed to ask for help would explain unfinished things or technical problems here and there. Being ashamed is likely an excuse there. |
