Could somebody estimate how much additional sensors cost over the stock car waymo uses? I see at least 4 LIDARs if I am not mistaken...

Waymo designs and builds their own LIDAR units. As of almost 3 years ago, estimated costs per unit had fallen to $5,000.

Don’t forget expensive compute rack in the back. The retrofit probably costs multiples of actual car itself.
