Wow what an arrogant person. I was originally interested, but in reading that comment chain, all I heard was, “I don’t care what you think. My way is clearly the most superior way and you are less than for thinking any other way could possibly be valid.” That’s my cue to stay as far away as possible from a project, and it would be a shame to have such a daft and stubborn coworker for which I’m thankful I don’t!

An equal and opposing argument:

Email patches? You’re going to make me send an email patch? I can’t tell if you’re joking or serious... you’re... serious? Shall I write my patch into the computer via morse code as well? How could you possibly expect someone to take the time to jump through all the hoops that your massive ego and nostalgia for the past requires?

Oh wait, that sounds arrogant and childish too...

You say arrogant, I say opinionated. It's his product, his service, his rules. It's not like there aren't alternatives to choose from, and you're not forced to work on his service.
