The two caveats/differences you mentioned are the biggest complaints against Medium. Medium is a fantastic platform for finding an audience when you don’t have one already. It’s an awesome way to just write and get your work out there. As the post mentions, Ghost 3.0 is targeted at people like Ben Thompson (in the extreme case) who have an audience passionate/supportive/large enough to pay them directly and who want to own the entire relationship with no middleman. |
