If you go with AWS (like I did) and you forget to turn it off (like I did) they won't hesitate to charge you full price. For me that was a $700 surprise. Then you will discover how impossible talking to anyone at AWS is without a paid support plan. Two or three months later you may get your money back if you suffer through enough hours on hold with them after fighting through the non-paid customer service channels.

So don't use AWS please, for me.

You could try Parsec. They are specifically for gaming PCs. Sadly, if I'm remembering right they use AWS.

You can set up billing alerts with AWS.

I’d definitely recommend anyone using AWS set those up to avoid a surprise bill like you got.

Considering they did have the hardware allocated to you it doesn’t really seem that unfair to me that you had to pay the bill.
