I'm surprised VRML wasn't listed; I remember when VRML was supposed to be the future. It was the original web 2.0.

I remember the VRML hype, but I think it differs strongly from web 2.0 in that everyone agrees that web 2.0 is actually implemented in production lots of places (we just all disagree on what exactly it consists of).
