The comparison of pay between what PhD students get in the US vs other countries is plain silly. It’s apples to oranges, the cost of living can be an order of magnitude different, which is not mentioned even once, favoring the absolute number comparison as a good thing. Beyond this the article talks about low stipends, while an important topic of conversation - nothing new. |
