Most are going back on that. It is just that what is currently being sold was developped years ago.

I'm lucky that my car was made in the in between period, so all touch screen controls have physical controls as well.

I use the physical controls, especially when driving. But my navigatrix prefers the screen, primarily because she likes the visual feedback. (Not enough of the physical controls in my car have things that light up to let you know something's happened.)
