IMO people should be discouraged from getting PhDs so that the only PhDs are the ones who do it out of internal drive and craziness. #keepPhDsWeird It isn't logical to get a PhD. The worth of your PhD will be determined by how much you can make for yourself, and how much charity your advisor is motivated to give to you in leadership and insights. A PhD is not very transactional, you don't know what you'll get except what you think you can give to yourself. A PhD works best for people who have no other choice. |
