In December of 2009 my dad died. He was getting the mail, slipped on some ice, and hit his head. He laid there for about 30 minutes before a neighbor found him. He was put on life support but the damage was done. I’m still mad, 10 years later, about the fact that he has 2 amazing grandkids who won’t get to know him, or that I can’t ask him about the state of the world. I don’t know if the Apple Watch would have helped him, but I do know that you haven’t done a full risk assessment. He wasn’t in an isolated area, he wasn’t inexperienced. Falls get scarier and scarier the older your loved ones get. |
