I wonder how much of the research and technology from that time has trickled into today's tech? When I was in college in the early 2000s, the DARPA challenge was all the rage. I feel a lot of the r&d from that time had direct influence on today's tech. Semi autonomous vehicles have been around for a very long time... But the tech still has a ways to go to get to full autonomy. |
