It should be mentioned that IBM managed to simulate a 56 qubit version of the same problem Google describes in the paper (see https://pastebin.com/RfUMXJZE) on a classical super computer:

So technically Google cannot claim to reach quantum supremancy with only 54 qubits as described in the paper.
