It’s all about communication and setting expectations. If client is expecting quick delivery with low chance of disruption and you have a full time job maybe this consultant shouldn’t take the job. Or at minimum tell client they are juggling multiple priorities at the moment and say that they’ve built in a buffer into the ETA but it could still be a risk. And that you’ll communicate frequently with any deviation to your ETA. Not every client needs delivery at breakneck speed. |
