I guess it depends on if UWB devices can detect the location of beacon devices regardless of whether or not they specifically integrate with the "finder device"'s manufacturer. IE would Toyota and others have to add some code to work with Apple's chip, or can every device find other devices in beacon mode? (Another hurdle is if Apple limits what you can do with the chip as a developer, since they've done this for their NFC tech)
