It probably is what he meant, because this is not a casual email but written for publication. If he used the word “engineer”, I will assume he meant “engineer”, and it is not necessary that you speak for management to correct perceived misunderstandings. (NPR could have misstated Smith’s intent, but imma need a citation.) |
