But by switching over to the Model 3 powertrain, Tesla will lose their 0-60 crown. The 3 might have better cooling motors, batteries, and efficiency, but the S launches faster despite being much heavier. So Tesla gets to pick whether they want a Model S that doesn't overheat, or a Model S that's slower to 60 than a Taycan. |
