What happened to wireless charging standard Rezence?

In 2015 Rezence was hyped as a promising new wireless charging standard, backed by Intel, Qualcomm, and Samsung. Instead of using induction as in Qi, Rezence was based on the principles of magnetic resonance, which could provide up to 50W of power at distances up to 5 centimeters. So why did the standard never take off?
