Weirdly, the article didn't notice the very strong correlation between "states that didn't accept the Medicaid expansion" and "places with under-payed rural hospitals". This seems like an absolutely elementary analysis to do -- places with the Medicaid expansion are more likely to have people with health insurance; places without are less likely. |
