On Linux, the distributions do that for you. You don't have to, but if you want, you can. On Mac, you can't, even if you want. So you won't see discussions like these, because Mac does not have that kind of visibility inside. If something is broken (and Mac has its share of broken things), you get to keep all the pieces. |
