Some of the smartest people I've ever known from college became professional stock market investors and traders. Not a single one of them has significantly outperformed the market. I think of stock market investing as a white collar gig economy job. Both depend on some central entity, which makes a killing (brokerages in this case), and have extremely low barriers to entry. |
