I'd argue probability is about that (given information at a time), i.e. everything has probability 1 or 0 given perfect information (and computation/inference) about a deterministic universe, but some other number (by a metric) given partial information (and perfect computation/inference). Randomness is perhaps a description of correlation? Which obviously relates to probability, prediction of uncertain outcomes, but maybe more general?.. |
