Its not always just aesthetic unfortunately. Try this shining example from British local government:

http://www.manchester.gov.uk vs http://manchester.gov.uk

Those seem to redirect to the same place.
So the problem is theirs.
Yes, as in Google's.
Webserver misconfigurations are hosts' problems.
But now you cannot distinguish between the 2 URLs. They look the same in the URL field but one is broken.
Oh - it gives me the error but then does redirect to the correct location (with https security).
No error for me, what exactly is the complaint here?
