We've worked on it last 2 years. A problem with common invasive diagnostic test requires a physical intervention in both conducting the fundus examination test as well as doing the analysis. Our for self eye-alignment and an automatic imaging method operates fully automatically and capture retinal images, and quickly diagnose the presence of diabetic retinopathy by integrating with an AI diagnostic algorithm or telemedicine platform. Such an automated procedure and quick test-to-diagnosis turnaround time are both extremely cost-effective and can help significantly reduce the rate of diabetes. Most importantly, if our experiment proves to be successful, we think we will establish a scalable system that will allow diagnosing diabetics in an accessible way in developing countries due to our device’s low cost and fast test-to-diagnosis time.
