I don't think 'could lead to' is correct, because that implies this can only happen in a structured, intentional way. It's an epiphenomenon of the interaction between this information and the normal workings of society on so many levels, and that feedback loop has been in place for a LONG time and is only getting stronger, now with real intentionality. |
