I'm certain they previously would have specified that model with "Touchbar" rather than the number of thunderbolt ports...

Of course, that also means that they are killing at least one or two of the Thunderbolt 3 ports.

Because there's no way they'd add one or more T3 ports on top of already having four of them.

So, maybe you don't want to be so glad to see that designation.....
