I inherited a pile of Mad magazines as a kid in South Africa. Some of the content was confusing to me as I had little concept of some US terms, i.e. I had no idea which season 'Fall' is, or that a character complains about the temperature being in the eighties (celcius vs fahrenheit).

Just yesterday I recalled an old joke in an old copy of Mad. It was a top ten list of songs that are about violence. One of the songs listed was Sting and the Police, "Don't stab so close to me". Still laughing about that now.
