Thermal performance is my #1 issue with the MBP. I have a 2017 13", and it really struggles with even modest sustained loads. I often work outdoors from a hammock, and even in the shade it throttles very quickly when using Docker to spin up a local instance of an app or even tox to run its test suite. Even just web browsing quickly becomes a problem if the laptop is in direct sunlight. |
