The problem isn't the addictiveness, the problem is the effect on neural chemistry. Psychelic compounds are just as bad to someone whose brain has been eaten away from psychotropic drugs or narcotics, and are known to trigger schizophrenia-family of disorders in individuals with latent susceptibility.
