I would love to hear an argument about why this is necessarily a bad or negative thing that they have strict controls over their immigration? Japan acts similarly and is none the worse for it. The Quebec independence movement is still alive and strong even if it isn't so overt, and I think there is nothing wrong with that. If they want to maintain as much autonomy as they are able to, with their limited set of options, that is great. |
