ReasonML is a much more reasonable (pun intended) approach to FP from the front-end side that doesn't appear to be as dogmatic as Elm. By making some concessions over interoperability (namely supporting raw JS and npm libraries), Reason thinks it will be easier to win existing JS devs over.
