get the emacs starter kit by technomancy (on github). It comes with some nice default settings that made it pretty easy for me to jump right in. I still do a few non-emacsy things like use the arrow keys, but I've installed a few new libraries and customized it a bit more to my liking... to the point where I now find Textmate a big drag on productivity. |
