I think you're right. We can also add .NET (C#, etc.) to that list, as a popular hardware-independent language on the server (in enterprises at least). So, yes, most server languages are already hardware independent I believe. Wasm does provide that property for C++ & Rust. I'm unsure how important that is in the server space. |
