This feels a bit too Kurzweilian to me. I still don't understand how we go from General AI --> ??? --> Infinite $$$

I still don't understand how we go from classifiers to AGI. We've done amazing things with classifiers, especially over the last few years with deep learning, but they're still just classifiers and I don't see any path from where we are now to actual "intelligence".

To me it's strange how he can apparently think at an almost cosmic scale about the future of computation but at the same time can only imagine a financial and social future more or less grounded by the status quo. That's weird.
