Uber is by no means dumping services below the cost to provide them. Boston's UberX is $0.36/minute + $0.88/mile (plus fees and flag-drop costs). That's well in excess of the marginal cost of providing the transportation. (I'm an UBER bear and think their shares are comically over-valued. I also think that they're genuinely and sustainably profitable in their core business operation.) |
