My "smart home" is just installing IR blasters to control all my existing IR-controlled ceiling lamps and air conditioner units. In the worst case, I can always revert to using the IR remote controls (or wall switches). They're firewalled to my LAN and integrated into iOS using Homebridge running on my Synology NAS. |
